The Resonance Project is a world music quartet that transports early sacred music traditions into new and original designed sound-scapes. Stephanie Heidemann is a world-fusion vocalist/performer & co-founder for The Resonance Project. Stephanie studied Expressive Arts Therapy from Indiana University, and was mentored by NY-Metropolitan Opera Mezzo, Brenda Boozer. Her debut solo album The Cantiga Project was highlighted on a Sounds True, Inc CD compilation, Songs of Mary. Stephanie joins music partner & co-Founder of TRP, Julian Douglas, percussionist composer and producer of CD: Talafawa. World Percussionists Michael Rutherford and Douglas are a tour de force percussion duo in this ensemble- receiving 4-stars from Modern Drummer magazine for their CD, Excursion. Douglas & Rutherford have shared stages with renown Blue Note Saxophonist Greg Osby, Guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque, and Sufi Rock band HuDost. Sound Designer/Bassist Edward Cosla joined TRP in 2011. He has designed sound for both Broadway (Tony nominated "Best Musical" 1999) and Off-Broadway and has toured around the world with companies and festivals such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Wooster Group, Dianmanda Galas, and The Vienna International Festival of the Arts.
